End your summer with a getaway, before heading back to work or school – get in one last vacation! Whether you are looking for a personal retreat, family vacation or just itching to have an adventure; Quimby, in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont is a great choice, with everything you need to unplug, relax and escape for a little well deserved rejuvenation.
Our rates include your own private cottage overlooking Forest Lake, with full bath, living room, wood stove, and porch. Many of our cottages also include full kitchens; small refrigerators are available for all. Guests enjoy complimentary use of our canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, and rowboats (with trolling motors) on Forest Lake, Great Averill, and Little Averill Lakes. Use of our clay tennis court, recreation hall, and the main lodge with fireplace, library is also included. Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom offers endless adventures, from the best mountain biking in North America to great hikes, to secluded fishing holes.

Cabins with Kitchens: $167 per night for two
Cabins without Kitchens: $136 per night for two
Each additional occupant: $55 per night with a kitchen and $30 per night without a kitchen.
Continental Breakfast Included. Fresh towels, sheets, and firewood on request. Children under three stay for free.
Cottages with Kitchens Without Kitchens
1 or 2 Bedroom $910 $622

*Cottages without kitchens have a small refrigerator and charcoal grill available. (Charcoal is not available)
Special Group Rates
Quimby’s is the perfect spot for private getaways, ecological adventures, birders, biologists, business seminars, family reunions, fishing parties or an intimate wedding—for groups of 15 to 100 people. We can offer meals for groups and can tailor them to fit any budget.
RESERVATION, CANCELLATION AND PRICING POLICY
Due to our small size, short season, and location, cancellations can have a significant impact on us and we ask that you please read our reservation, cancellation and pricing policy. We strongly encourage you to purchase travel insurance to protect yourself in the event you need to cancel or modify your travel and vacation plans due to unforeseen circumstances. Thank you.
Making and Confirming a Reservation
Guests may make reservations by phone, by email, online, or at the Quimby Lodge. No booking at Quimby’s is confirmed until your initial deposit is received and you receive a confirmation via email from Quimby’s.
A 40% deposit is required for reservations with the balance due upon departure. Although we greatly appreciate payments by check, for ease of making online reservations deposits made by credit cards are not subjected to the 3% credit card fee.
Payment – While we do accept credit cards, cash or personal checks are preferred. All credit card charges (less the initial deposit) will be charged a 3% processing fee at checkout.
If you cancel your reservation 1-month or more prior to your scheduled arrival, your payment will be refunded less 3% if your deposit was paid by a credit card.
If you cancel your reservation within 1-month of your scheduled arrival, your payment will be forfeited unless Quimby’s is able to rebook your cottage. In that event your payment will be refunded less 3% if your deposit was paid by a credit card.
However, in any case, if you choose to apply your payment to the following season, your entire payment will be credited to your account with no service charge. You may only carry over your payment for one year.
You are not entitled to a refund for an early departure or late arrival.
At the time of reservation, requests will be accepted for specific cottages. However, Quimby Country reserves the right to change cottage assignments at any time prior to arrival, without notice, in order to best accommodate all of our guests.
Dogs and Quimby Country
Well-behaved dogs are welcomed. Guest are asked to keep dogs on leashes around the cottages and lodge area and use doggy bags. When you book your reservation, please let us know if you are bringing your dog(s).
