2025 Kingdom Climbing Weekend
Join your fellow CRAG-VT members for a weekend of climbing, community, and fun for the second annual Kingdom Climbing Weekend. It’s like our member meetup, but for a whole weekend!
CRAG-VT has partnered with Vermont’s oldest sporting camp, Quimby Country, to host a weekend gathering just a short distance from Black Mountain, Vermont’s premiere crack climbing mecca.
The weekend includes a stay for up to 30 climbers in rustic cabins on the shores of Forest Lake and Great Averill Lake and all funds go directly to Quimby Country and support the local economy.
The weekend offers up an unique opportunity to connect with your climbing community, make new connections, and spend your days tackling the plethora of 5 star routes at Black Mountain, where CRAG-VT was recently designated as a Recreation Corridor Manager by the land managing partners.

When: Friday, October 3rd – Sunday, October 5th (options to add additional nights)
Where: Quimby Country, 1127 Forest Lake Rd, Averill, VT 05901

● Note: This is not a guided event. Climbers must have their own climbing equipment and are responsible for their own risk management. Black Mountain is an all lead, mostly traditionally protected climbing area.
Weekend Includes
● 2 nights of lodging in a rustic lakeside cottage
● Full continetal breakfast each morning
● Friday night cookout Welcome Dinner and Saturday night buffet in Quimby’s main dining room (additional cost of $35 per head per dinner)
● Includes use of all Quimby amenities (rowboats, canoes, tennis, access to Forest Lake, Great Averill Lake, hiking trails, lodge, internet, etc.)
● Lunch is not included
Booking:
Click on the Sign Up Now button below, you will be directed to our reservation page. Enter the dates (October 3rd -5th) and choose a cottage. Participants can reserve cottages in groups or reserve a private cottage. Upon booking your cottage you will need to make a deposit. Please specify that you are part of the Northeast Kingdom Climbing Weekend. Participants will pay for the dinners when they arrive.
