Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom
“…this could very well be the most beautiful place in America.”
Patricia Schultz,

Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom is an area of unmatched beauty combined with rugged wilderness and pristine lakes. Visitors come to fish the streams and lakes, hike the gentle peaks, or simply view wildlife. In 2006, the National Geographic Society named this northeast corner of Vermont the most desirable place to visit in the country and the ninth most desirable place to visit in the world.
Outdoor adventures are just outside your door, from canoeing on Forest Lake and sailing on Big Averill to hiking the trails that crisscross the forest between. Or you can venture off the property to climb the nearby peaks of Averill and Brousseau mountains. Even more challenging hikes are a short drive away. And if you’ve brought your bike, canoe, or kayak with you, there is no shortage of places to explore.
