All-Inclusive Family Week –  High Season

We look forward to welcoming you to Quimby Country during our High Season. Thank you again for your reservation. Below we have outlined a few reminders for your stay. Please read over carefully and let us know if you have any questions. Otherwise, we will look forward to welcoming you soon!

Reminders:

  • Check-in / Check-out –  Check-in is after 4 pm and Check-out is at or before 10:00. However, you are welcome to arrive earlier to enjoy our amenities we just ask that you check in with us in the office when you arrive. Equally, you are welcome after checking out to remain on the property for the afternoon to continue to enjoy all of Quimby’s amenities. We ask that you please let us know if you expect to arrive after 7 pm.
  • Meals: We offer waitstaff served breakfasts in our dining room each morning, pick-up picnic lunches and family style dinner in our dining room.

Arrival Forms: At Quimby Country, our goal is to be as organized and ready for your stay as possible! There is important information we request from you about housekeeping and allergies/dietary needs that will help us make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.  In order to accomplish this, we ask that you take a few minutes to review and fill out our arrival forms if you haven’t already.

Additionally, you will find an opportunity to sign up for our activities and special offerings that are available outside of our traditional counselor-led activities, like fishing, canoeing, mountain biking, rock climbing, basket weaving and yoga.

Please note, some activities have additional costs, while others are complimentary with your stay.

  • Canadian Border: Please make sure you bring your passports – there are some wonderful places to visit right over the border in Canada
  • Gratuity: The rate you pay allows us to compensate our employees appropriately with the understanding that gratuities are not included in your stay. We encourage guests to reward our employees who show exceptional service. We appreciate cash / check gratuity.

Credit Cards:

We have made some adjustments to our credit card policy, starting in 2024.  While we still accept credit cards, cash or personal checks are preferred. All credit card charges (less the initial deposit) will be charged a 3% processing fee at checkout.

Please let us know by return email or by calling 802-822-5533 of any special requirements you have. We want to have everything you need ready for you when you arrive.

For example:
Will you be bringing your dog? If so, will you need any special accommodations? Will you need a Pack N’ Play?

Directions to Quimby Country:

From Boston:From Logan International Airport take access road and follow directions to Route 1A North. Stay on Route 1A to Route 16 West, that will take you to Interstate 93 North. Take 93 North through New Hampshire to Exit 35 (Route 3 North). Stay on Route 3 North, this will take you into Colebrook. In Colebrook, continue on Route 3 for about 8 miles until you come to West Stewartstown, at the flashing red light, take a left onto Route 114 South. This will take you into Canaan, VT. About 9 miles down, you will see a tall highway sigh for “Quimby Country”. A little further down, watch for a little green sign that says Forest Lake, dirt road. Take a left onto the dirt road, go two miles and Quimby’s will be on your right. (If you pass the small country store “Lake View”, you’ve gone too far!). Logan Airport is about a 4-hour drive to Quimby Country.

From Manchester NH:Take Interstate 93 North through New Hampshire to Exit 35 (Route 3 North). Stay on Route 3 North, this will take you into Colebrook. Continue on Route 3 for about 8 miles until you come to West Stewartstown, at the flashing light, take a left onto Route 114 South. Go through Canaan, VT. About 9 miles further, you will see a tall highway sigh for “Quimby Country”. A little further down, watch for a little green sigh that says Forest Lake. Take a left onto the dirt road for two miles and you will see the sign for Quimby’s on your right. (If you pass the small country store “Lake View Store”, you’ve gone too far). Manchester Airport is about a 3-hour drive to Quimby Country.

From Montreal PQ:Take Route 20 East until you see the sign for 10 East – Pont Champlain, follow the sign for the bridge and take that exit. After you pass the bridge, keep on Route 10 East. At Magog your take the exit for Route 55, you stay on 55 until you reach Ayers’ Cliff and then you take 141 South. In Coaticook, you turn right on Route 147 South. Enter Vermont through Norton’s Customs. After Customs, yield onto Route 114 North (left turn). Go for about 4 miles, you will see a small country store call “Lake View Store”. Shortly past this, take a right on Forest Lake road (a dirt road). Go about 2 miles on the dirt road, you will see the Quimby’s sign on your right. Dorval Airport is about a 2.5-hour drive to Quimby Country.

From Hartford CT:Take Interstate 91 North to Exit 23 for Lyndonville, VT. Then take Route 5 North until the junction of Route 114 North. Stay on 114 North for about 44 miles until you come to Norton, VT, Averill is 4 miles from Norton on 114 North. You will see a small store on your left “The Lake View Store”. The turn for Quimby’s is about 1/8 of a mile further on the right, there is a small sign at the bottom of the road that says Forest Lake. Go down Forest Lake Road for two miles and take the first right turn and you are here! Hartford Airport is about a 4-hour drive to Quimby Country.

From Burlington VT: Take Interstate 89 South to Exit 10 for Waterbury. Then take Route 100 North to Newport Center. Take Route 105 East to Derby Center, Route 111 South until junction with 114. Take Route 114 North and stay on it. You will go by Norton, VT. Averill is about 4 miles from Norton. You will see a small store on your left “The Lake View Store”, the turn for Quimby’s is about 1/8 of a mile further on the right. There is a small sign at the bottom of the road that says Forest Lake. Go down Forest Lake Road, a dirt road, for two miles and take the first right turn and you are here! Burlington Airport is about a 3-hour drive to Quimby Country.
