Quimby Country 2017

To all Quimby Country Friends:

Thanks to hundreds of people like you, Quimby Country will reopen in the summer of 2017.

As you know, last February, Quimby Country’s Board of Directors made the difficult decision not to open in 2016 because projected revenue was insufficient to cover operating expenses, not to mention maintenance on our aging facilities.

In fact, the Board voted to cease operations completely. But then a group of dedicated shareowners and long-time guests pulled together to save Quimby Country. Over the past few months, they brought new energy to a reconstituted Board of Directors. They arranged for new financing, found new sources of income, and began a full-court press to reopen.

Quimby Country is not out of the woods yet (no pun intended). But it now has a chance to rebuild and be better than ever. But it all depends on you!

At its last meeting, the new Board of Directors voted unanimously to begin taking reservations for the 2017 season, while finalizing plans for such things as pricing and schedules.  We’re taking this unusual step because we know many of you are already making plans for next summer, and we want you to make Quimby Country part of those plans.

Let’s make this a reunion summer for all who have loved Quimby Country for generations.

Please email QuimbyCountry@gmail.com or call 802-822-5533 and tell us to save space for you. Just give us this information:

  • Your name, phone number, email, and postal mailing address,
  • the total number of people in your party,
  • how many are children and their ages during your stay,
  • the number of bedrooms you’d like, and
  • when you’d like to come between July 1 and August 26.

If you’d rather come before or after those dates in the spring or fall, please tell us that as well.

You don’t have to send a deposit until we issue our new rates in October. But you can expect our prices to be about the same as in the past.

You can also expect dining improvements, more engaging day and evening activities, and plenty of the Quimby spirit that families have enjoyed for 122 years. Plus, you’ll have a chance to see first-hand some of the exciting changes we have planned for Quimby Country in the years ahead.

So please make your reservations now.  And please tell your friends.

See you at Quimby Country Summer 2017!
